Urine Therapy

Do you dare to try urine therapy to boost your immune system? I think barely people will give the No answer.

Do you dare to drink your own urine if you are suffering from a critical illness?  The answer might be Yes or might be No. The majority will choose No, for sure.

Do you dare to try to drink your own urine if you believe that urine is a free, natural, effective and no side effect medicine?  And what about if you have been trying so many ways and still fail to get rid of your disease?

Well, I do believe urine can boost our immune system and cure the diseases, but I don’t dare to take it. Maybe I am still healthy and haven’t faced the need to try it. Why do I believe drinking urine is good for health? It is because one of my colleagues is practicing drinking her own urine for many years. She is now 60 years old, but still healthy, and looks young. Each time when she goes to the washroom, she will bring a small glass container along to fill her urine. She said she starts practicing this urine therapy after reading a book written by a Japanese doctor. Actually, urine therapy is recommended by traditional Chinese and India medicine too.

Most people think of urine as a body waste product,  so feel disgusting to accept this therapy. People are even more bewildered to hear that it is used as a treatment for cancer.

Urine is highly sterile, consisting of 95 percent water, 2.5 percent urea, and 2.5 percent a mixture of minerals, salts, hormones, and enzymes. But Dr. Ranj Singh told the Daily Mail that once urine leaves the body, it is no longer sterile and could harbor harmful bacteria.

Are there harmful substances in urine?

But for me, if urine is a harm after leaving the body, then why my colleague is still maintaining her health after practicing it for so many years?  And we must realize that the unborn child floats in a sac of amniotic fluid which urine from the fetus. The unborn child drinks this fluid, urinates, and then drinks some more.

I have read an e-book written by John Bettens, because of his successful use of urine therapy in the treatment of follicular lymphoma (a cancer of the
lymphatic system).  In the e-book, he said “urea is one substance that is commonly regarded as harmful. This might be so in large quantities, but the amount contained in one’s own urine will not
take that quantity to a dangerous level. In fact, when ingested orally the urine ends up in the intestines where it can have a cleansing or purifying effect. Bacteria in the intestines are able to convert the urea into glutamine. Glutamine is an amino acid found in meat, poultry, and vegetables like cabbage and spinach. It supports the immune, digestive and nervous systems, assists in removing excess ammonia from the body, helps regulate blood glucose levels, and helps balance pH (acid/alkaline) levels.  In some people’s urine micro-organisms can be found. These can be the
result of illness or infection. It is not considered harmful to re-ingest these organisms in the minute quantities found in urine. However, if there is a known infection of the kidneys, bladder or urinary tracts, organisms can be found in high quantities and so caution should be exercised before reingesting urine while these conditions persist”. (page 10 of the e-book)

How Can Urine Cure Illness?

Dr. Nakao was the first doctor to stand up and voice his clinical studies of the mechanics of urine therapy, devoting his time to the understanding of how it works. Nobel prize-winning for his efforts in helping advocate the power of this therapy.Dr. Ryoichi Nakao M.D. explains his views on the mechanism of auto-urine therapy as follows:

First of all, in order to examine this mechanism, we have to consider that the efficacy of urine therapy does not show it to be a medicine. Urine is an information source about the disease in the body or, in other words, it is a copy of the changes occurring in the body.

Due to the following reasons, I believe that when this information in the urine passes through the throat it is analyzed by sensors in the throat and that the human immune system can then be activated to cure the disease. That is to say, signals are given by the brain which may activate the necessary functions for curing the ailment.

(1). Experiments were conducted and it was found that when the urine was induced into the stomach using a catheter, bypassing the throat for a period of one month, no efficacy was observed.

(2). The fact that cancer occurs in the bladder, urinary tract and kidneys prove that the presence of urine inside the body does not have any direct effect on carcinogenic cells. But when the same urine is taken orally and passes through the throat, a decrease in carcinogenic cell growth or the disappearance of cancer has been observed in cancer patients.

(3). Even if urine is not ingested but only gargled, the effects were found to be the same as when it was ingested.

(4). If gargling with water was done just after ingestion of urine no efficacy was observed.

(5). Interferon, one of many bio-active substances found in urine presents a situation analogous to that of auto-urine therapy in that only minute quantities are taken orally are necessary to provide the brain with the information it needs to heal the body. In clinical trials, only 100 IU or 1/100,000 of the million international units of interferon given orally had the same effects as 10 million units administered by injections. (Hayashibara Biochemical Labs., Inc Okayama, Japan and Dr. Cummins of Amarillo Cell Culture, Amarillo Texas).

Because of the above findings, it can be assumed that sensor cells which can perceive extremely minute changes in the body, could control them if stimulated by the right information from urine. Such cells are found in the oral cavity and throat.

What Is The Possible Reactions to Urine Therapy

The ingestion of urine may cause a reaction which could alarm some people. However, what may be happening is that the body is simply beginning to detoxify. During detoxification, the body releases toxic or poisonous substances, some of which may have been stored in it for many, many years.
Releasing these substances is a good thing, but the process, which might be an unpleasant one needs to be monitored either by yourself or by a healthcare professional.

How to get used to drinking urine?

Firstly, we have to get used to the idea, and secondly, we have to get used to its taste. In trying to get used to the idea of drinking urine it is important to accept that urine is not a waste product but something that can provide us with healing. Urine will have a much stronger taste if you have eaten a lot of animal protein, used spices in your food, or drunk strongly flavored liquids. Try to drink a little bit each day, until you used to it.

Allowing it to cool is an advantage. It is also an advantage to drink it in one go. That is to say, take a deep breath and drink it all at once.

I have read a lot about urine therapy and many people don’t believe me when I recommend it. As you mentioned it in your article, there are so many benefits!

Oh ya? Then do you practice the urine therapy? I know the benefits due to my colleague‘s experience, but I myself not dare trying it. But who knows, one day I might really need this therapy.
